TOTTENHAM BOARD PRAISED FOR STANDING BY ROBERTO DE ZERBI AFTER CHELSEA VICTORY!

Tottenham Hotspur’s decision to continue backing Roberto De Zerbi is now being hailed as the right move, with a former Spurs scout insisting the club’s hierarchy deserves credit for refusing to panic during a difficult period.

Former Tottenham scout Mick Brown believes the board made the correct decision by keeping faith with De Zerbi despite growing pressure from frustrated supporters.

De Zerbi arrived last season when Tottenham were struggling under former manager Igor Tudor, with only seven games remaining to save their Premier League status. The Italian eventually guided Spurs to safety on the final day of the campaign.

However, despite spending more than £300 million during the summer transfer window, Tottenham endured a disastrous start to the new season. After six Premier League matches without a victory, they found themselves in the relegation zone, raising serious questions about De Zerbi’s future.

Rather than dismissing the manager, the Spurs hierarchy chose to stand firmly behind him.

That decision is now beginning to pay off.

Tottenham have recorded back-to-back league victories, beating Coventry City 3-1 before producing an impressive 2-0 win over London rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Speaking to Football Insider, Brown praised the club’s leadership for maintaining its belief in De Zerbi despite the mounting criticism.

He explained that although the board faced intense scrutiny from supporters and pundits, they remained convinced that the Italian was the right man to lead Tottenham forward. Discussions were held about the club’s direction as pressure increased, but Brown believes the hierarchy ultimately made the correct choice.

🔥 CHELSEA WIN COULD BE A TURNING POINT FOR SPURS

Brown also believes the victory over Chelsea could help ease the tension surrounding Tottenham and provide a platform for further improvement.

He acknowledged that expectations remain high among the club’s supporters and that frustration could return if the team fails to deliver consistent results.

Nevertheless, he feels the recent victories have lifted the mood around the club and that the board deserves recognition for resisting the temptation to make a rushed managerial decision.

Tottenham now have an opportunity to build on their momentum, with Crystal Palace, Leeds United and Ipswich Town scheduled as their next three opponents.

With confidence gradually returning, Spurs will be hoping to turn their recent improvement into a sustained winning run.

Can Roberto De Zerbi lead Tottenham to a successful season after this impressive turnaround? 👀⚪
