A tense moment unfolded at Anfield when Chelsea were awarded a penalty against Liverpool in their Carabao Cup clash.
Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson initially picked up the ball and appeared ready to take the spot-kick. However, the home supporters responded with boos as he approached the penalty spot.
Henderson looked towards the Liverpool fans and smiled before eventually stepping aside to let Morgan Rogers take the responsibility.
Rogers kept his composure, sent the Liverpool goalkeeper the wrong way and converted the penalty to put Chelsea ahead.
The Chelsea midfielder then ran straight to manager Xabi Alonso to celebrate, exchanging a few words with his boss after giving the visitors the lead.
Henderson’s reaction to the Anfield boos was certainly a moment to remember! 👀😂
