Arsenal Reject Myles Lewis-Skelly Exit as Mikel Arteta Draws Firm Line on Summer Sales
Arsenal have reportedly made it clear that Myles Lewis-Skelly is not for sale despite interest from Manchester United.
The versatile academy graduate, who can operate at left-back or in midfield, has established himself in the first team since his breakthrough during the 2024/25 season. Although opportunities were more limited last campaign following Arsenal’s squad reinforcements, the 19-year-old remains highly regarded at the Emirates.
Recent reports suggested Manchester United were considering a move for Lewis-Skelly after Newcastle ruled out the possibility of selling Lewis Hall. United are said to view the Arsenal youngster as a long-term target, with his homegrown status making any potential sale valuable under Premier League financial regulations.
However, Football Insider claims Arsenal have no plans to cash in on Lewis-Skelly and are prepared to reject all offers, especially from domestic rivals. Mikel Arteta is determined to keep his key young talents and strengthen the squad rather than allow important players to join competing Premier League clubs.
The Gunners have already invested heavily this summer, signing Christos Tzolis and agreeing a deal for Bruno Guimarães, while they continue to pursue Real Madrid star Vinicius Junior. Despite their spending, Arsenal are reportedly unwilling to fund transfers by selling one of their brightest academy prospects.
