Fierce transfer battle begins as Liverpool and Chelsea target a World Cup standout.

Liverpool are said to be keeping a close eye on South Korean centre-back Lee Han-beom following his standout performance against the Czech Republic at the World Cup, as well as an impressive campaign with FC Midtjylland in Denmark.

Reports suggest Chelsea are also monitoring the 23-year-old, setting up a potential transfer showdown between the two Premier League clubs. Liverpool may look to strengthen their defence after the departure of Ibrahima Konaté, with Han-beom emerging as a promising long-term option.

Both clubs’ scouts are believed to be impressed by his physical strength and defensive quality. With only a year left on his contract, FC Midtjylland could be open to a reasonable offer for the defender this summer.

Chelsea, who struggled defensively last season, are also keen to reinforce their backline, making Han-beom an appealing target for both sides. The player is expected to make a decision on his future soon as interest continues to build.
