Liverpool defender Van Dijk linked with a move to AC Milan as journalist backs the claim

Carlo Pellegatti has once again backed the possibility of Virgil van Dijk eventually making a move to AC Milan, despite the doubts surrounding his previous claims.
The Milan-based journalist has previously reported that the Italian giants have an interest in the Liverpool captain and continues to believe a potential move should not be ruled out.

Pellegatti drew comparisons with his earlier reports about Zlatan Ibrahimovic, recalling how he was mocked before the Swedish striker eventually moved to Milan.
He also offered more insight into his belief that Milan could make a move for Van Dijk, whose current Liverpool contract runs until 2027.

According to Pellegatti, AC Milan could either pay to sign the Dutch defender earlier or wait until his contract expires and potentially bring him in as a free agent.
The journalist insists his claims are based on information he has received and were not simply made up for attention.
“I said that Van Dijk would arrive sooner or later. I assure you it wasn’t a name thrown out there just to say something,” Pellegatti stated.
