Thomas Frank could be in line for a Premier League return with another London club

Thomas Frank Could Make Premier League Comeback With London Club

Thomas Frank could be set for a return to Premier League management, with the former Tottenham and Brentford coach reportedly keeping an eye on potential opportunities across the division.

The 52-year-old has been without a club since leaving Tottenham in February. However, his reputation remains strong thanks largely to his impressive work at Brentford, where he helped establish the club as a competitive and established Premier League side.

Frank Interested In Returning To The Premier League

According to Football Insider, Frank is eager to get back into management and is already monitoring several clubs where a managerial vacancy could potentially arise.

Crystal Palace and Fulham have both been identified as possible destinations, although neither club is currently preparing to make an immediate change in the dugout.

Former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown believes Frank will be keen to return to the touchline.

“Thomas Frank will be keen to return to the Premier League soon,” Brown said.

He added that although Frank has remained active through punditry since leaving Tottenham, the opportunity to return to the daily demands of management will remain appealing.

Brown also suggested that Frank is likely monitoring the situations at clubs such as Palace and Fulham, even though neither side is presently expected to make an immediate managerial decision.

Crystal Palace Have Previously Considered Frank

Crystal Palace have reportedly held an interest in Frank for some time and were understood to have explored the possibility of appointing him earlier this year before eventually choosing Pierre Sage.

Sage has endured a challenging beginning, with Palace conceding 11 goals across their opening four Premier League matches. Their performances have shown some improvement recently, however, meaning an immediate managerial change is not currently expected.

Fulham could also become a club to watch if their situation changes.

Álvaro Arbeloa has faced pressure following a winless start, but Fulham’s hierarchy are currently standing behind the manager and are not believed to be considering a change during the international break.

Frank’s Brentford Success Could Keep Him In Demand

Although Frank’s time at Tottenham ended disappointingly, his achievements at Brentford remain an important part of his managerial reputation.

He built a well-organised and competitive side capable of challenging more financially powerful Premier League teams. His tactical flexibility and ability to work within a limited budget could make him an attractive candidate if Palace, Fulham or another Premier League club eventually decides to make a change.

For Frank, the timing of his next appointment could be crucial.

Rather than immediately taking charge of another unstable project, he may prefer a club with a clear recruitment strategy, patience from the board and realistic expectations.

For now, Frank has the opportunity to wait for the right opening. Should Palace or Fulham decide to part ways with their current managers later in the campaign, his Premier League experience could put him among the names considered.
