Tottenham Make Cody Gakpo Top Transfer Priority as Ferran Torres Also Emerges as Target

Tottenham Identify Cody Gakpo as Top Transfer Target, with Ferran Torres Also Under Consideration

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly weighing up moves for two high-profile attackers this summer, with Cody Gakpo emerging as their preferred option and Ferran Torres also featuring prominently on the club’s shortlist.

According to reports, new Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi is eager to strengthen his attack after overseeing a major squad rebuild. While Gakpo is believed to be Tottenham’s primary target, the North London side are also monitoring Torres, whose future at Barcelona remains uncertain despite his impressive performances for Spain, including scoring the winning goal in the recent World Cup final.

Spurs have already reinforced their squad with experienced arrivals such as Mateus Fernandes, Sandro Tonali, and Jan Paul van Hecke, but De Zerbi is still keen to add more attacking quality following last season’s relegation scare.

Meanwhile, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that Manchester City’s Savinho remains another leading target for Tottenham. The Brazilian is reportedly interested in the move, with discussions between the clubs continuing as Spurs wait to learn City’s final stance.

Among the three attacking options, Savinho may prove to be the most attainable signing due to his limited role at Manchester City. Landing Gakpo could be far more difficult given his importance at Liverpool, while Torres is attracting interest from several clubs and may be reluctant to leave Barcelona for a team not competing in European football this season.
