BIG BOOST FOR TOTTENHAM! PEDRO PORRO MOVES CLOSER TO CHELSEA DERBY RETURN!

Tottenham Hotspur have received a potentially encouraging boost ahead of their crucial London derby against Chelsea, with Pedro Porro reportedly working towards a return from injury.

Spurs have struggled with several injury problems this season, forcing head coach Roberto De Zerbi to make regular changes to his starting lineup. Although some players are gradually returning, the number of absentees has made preparations for important matches increasingly difficult.

Dejan Kulusevski has finally returned after spending more than 500 days on the sidelines, while Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons continue their recovery from serious knee injuries.

However, Destiny Udogie, Lucas Bergvall and Savio were unavailable for Tottenham’s recent Premier League clash against Coventry City. Despite those setbacks, Spurs produced an encouraging performance to secure a 3-1 victory and claim their first league win of the season.

Now, attention turns to Saturday’s blockbuster encounter against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, with Porro’s fitness becoming a major talking point.

👀 PORRO’S COMEBACK COULD NOT COME AT A BETTER TIME!

The Spanish right-back has been working towards a possible return after suffering a hamstring injury during Tottenham’s 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa before the international break. Porro was forced off after just 19 minutes, leaving Spurs concerned about how long they would have to cope without him.

His 2026/27 campaign has been frustrating so far, with fitness problems restricting him to just 224 minutes across all competitions.

However, there has been a positive development.

Last Friday, Porro shared a video of himself training in the gym alongside the message, “Almost back.” The update has raised hopes that the defender could return sooner rather than later.

Although he missed the Coventry victory, there is renewed optimism surrounding his chances of being available for the Chelsea showdown.

🔥 WHY PORRO’S RETURN COULD BE CRUCIAL FOR DE ZERBI

Tottenham played against Coventry without a natural right-back, and although the tactical adjustment helped them secure three valuable points, facing Chelsea with the same setup could prove considerably more difficult.

Porro’s return would give Spurs greater attacking quality down the right flank while also providing additional defensive balance.

Tottenham are also hoping Destiny Udogie will return soon. Having both full-backs available would give De Zerbi more options and strengthen the team’s ability to deal with Chelsea’s attacking threat.

With the London derby fast approaching, Porro’s fitness could become a major factor in Tottenham’s preparations.

Spurs will be desperate to build on their recent victory, but the big question remains: WILL PEDRO PORRO BE FIT ENOUGH TO FACE CHELSEA THIS WEEKEND? 👀⚽
