TOTTENHAM STAR BEN DAVIES REVEALS SURPRISE CAREER PLAN AFTER RETIREMENT

Tottenham Hotspur defender Ben Davies has opened up about his plans for life after football, revealing that he could consider an unexpected move into a senior executive or boardroom position.

The 33-year-old has been with Spurs for over 12 years, making 366 appearances for the club. During his time in north London, he has scored 12 goals and registered 26 assists, becoming one of the team’s most experienced and trusted figures.

Davies has also been preparing for his future beyond playing football. The Welsh international holds a degree in Business Management and has earned his UEFA A coaching licence, giving him several possible career paths once he hangs up his boots.

Away from his club responsibilities, he has taken on another important role after being appointed to the Football Association of Wales’ Council. His involvement has allowed him to contribute to discussions surrounding the future and development of Welsh football.

Despite thinking about what comes next, Davies has no intention of retiring anytime soon. He recently got on the scoresheet during Tottenham’s Premier League victory over Coventry City under manager Roberto De Zerbi.

However, the defender has admitted that moving into football administration or an executive position is something he would seriously consider when his playing days are over.

Davies is particularly interested in the possibility of moving straight from being a professional footballer into a boardroom role, a career path that relatively few former players have followed.

He believes his years of experience at the highest level could give him a valuable understanding of the game and help him contribute to important decisions within football.

The Tottenham veteran also highlighted the importance of ensuring that players have a voice in the decisions affecting the sport. Through his work with the FAW Council, he hopes to help Welsh football maintain its standards and continue developing for the future.

For now, Davies remains focused on his playing career, but his next chapter in football could look very different from what many supporters expect.
