Another Hull City player has reportedly been involved in a car accident near the club’s training ground, just weeks after Sorba Thomas was involved in a separate crash in the same area.
Images circulating on social media show a Mercedes lying on its side on a residential road in Cottingham on Thursday morning. The incident marks the second reported crash involving a Hull player near the club’s training complex this season.
Thankfully, nobody was injured.
Hull City confirmed the incident in a statement, saying: “Hull City is aware of images circulating on social media following a road traffic accident near the club’s training ground and can confirm that no one was harmed in the incident.”
Humberside Police also confirmed that emergency services responded to reports of a single-vehicle collision on Millhouse Woods Lane in Cottingham at around 8:30am on Thursday, October 1, 2026. Police confirmed that no injuries were reported.
The incident comes just three weeks after Hull winger Sorba Thomas was involved in a crash nearby, with his vehicle photographed upside down on a residential road.
Thomas, who joined Hull from Stoke in a £10 million summer transfer, was also confirmed to have escaped without injury. The Wales international has featured in each of Hull’s last three Premier League matches.
Following that incident, local councillor Phil Redshaw contacted Hull City officials and urged the club to remind players and staff to take extra care when driving near the training ground, citing concerns from local residents.
Hull have made a strong start to life in the Premier League and currently sit eighth after five matches. They are scheduled to face Everton after the international break.
Hull City training ground street sees another crash just weeks after Sorba Thomas overturned his car in the same area.
