Liverpool reportedly eye Tyrick Mitchell as a potential upgrade on Milos Kerkez

Liverpool Target Tyrick Mitchell as Potential Milos Kerkez Replacement

Liverpool are reportedly considering a move for Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell as Andoni Iraola looks to strengthen the position.

The Reds signed Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, but the Hungary international has yet to consistently deliver the performances expected of him at Anfield.

Mitchell, meanwhile, has established himself as a reliable Premier League defender during his long spell with Crystal Palace. The 27-year-old has made 249 senior appearances for the Eagles and could be open to a fresh challenge if Liverpool make their interest concrete.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, Liverpool are keeping Mitchell on their radar as Iraola assesses his options at left-back.

It remains unclear whether Liverpool would look to make a move during the January transfer window or wait until next summer.

Kerkez is still young and could be given more time to develop, meaning Liverpool may not be ready to replace him immediately. However, Mitchell’s experience could make him an attractive option as the club searches for greater consistency in the position.

Liverpool are also still dealing with the challenge of replacing Andy Robertson, who left Anfield for Tottenham on a free transfer this summer.
