HULL STAR SORBA THOMAS INVOLVED IN TERRIFYING CAR CRASH NEAR TRAINING GROUND!
Hull City winger Sorba Thomas has been involved in a frightening road accident close to the club’s training base in Cottingham.
The Wales international’s £60,000 Land Rover Defender was pictured overturned on its roof on a residential street on Friday morning, prompting concern among supporters.
Thankfully, the 27-year-old escaped the incident without suffering any injuries. Emergency services attended the scene, while Hull City later confirmed that Thomas was completely unharmed.
The club said: “We are relieved to confirm that Sorba Thomas is unharmed following a road traffic accident near to the club’s Cottingham training ground.”
Thomas only joined Hull from Stoke City on Deadline Day in a reported £10million transfer and has made three appearances for the newly promoted side.
He came off the bench during Hull’s goalless draw against Aston Villa last weekend before starting Tuesday’s 1-0 EFL Cup defeat to Sunderland, where he completed the full 90 minutes.
Hull are now unbeaten in the Premier League and have yet to concede a goal, but manager Sergej Jakirovic will have to decide whether Thomas is fit and ready to travel for Saturday’s difficult trip to Chelsea.
The winger enjoyed an impressive campaign with Stoke last season, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.
Thankfully, the major concern following Friday morning’s crash appears to have been avoided, with Thomas confirmed to be completely unscathed.
