Major Vinicius Jr to Arsenal update emerges after dramatic social media move
A significant update has surfaced regarding Vinicius Jr’s future at Real Madrid amid ongoing links with Arsenal.
The Brazilian winger, who has just one year left on his current contract, has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates after negotiations over a new deal reportedly stalled earlier this year. Arsenal were said to be monitoring the situation, with any potential transfer hinging on the outcome of contract talks.
Speculation intensified after Vinicius Jr deleted every post from his Instagram account, sparking widespread debate among fans over his future.
However, fresh reports suggest Real Madrid have stepped up efforts to keep the 26-year-old. The club is believed to have improved its contract offer following renewed talks between Vinicius’ representatives and general director José Ángel Sánchez.
Although Vinicius is reportedly seeking a package worth around €30 million per year, including bonuses and a signing incentive, Real Madrid are now said to be closer to meeting his demands.
Spanish journalist Ramón Álvarez de Mon has since claimed that Vinicius Jr and Real Madrid have reached an agreement over a new contract, with an official signing expected soon.
If confirmed, Arsenal are expected to focus on alternative transfer targets as Mikel Arteta continues strengthening his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.
