Newcastle Stand Firm as Tottenham Push for Sandro Tonali
Newcastle United have reportedly reaffirmed their stance on Sandro Tonali amid increasing interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
Spurs, under the management of Roberto De Zerbi, are understood to have made the Italian midfielder a priority target during the current transfer window and have already explored the possibility of a deal.
Despite Tottenham’s admiration, Newcastle remain unwilling to part ways with Tonali and are believed to have turned down an offer in the region of £80 million. The Magpies reportedly value the midfielder significantly higher and view him as a crucial part of their long-term project.
With Tonali tied to a lengthy contract at St James’ Park, Newcastle hold a strong position in any negotiations. Tottenham may continue to monitor the situation, but any successful move would likely require a record-breaking offer.
As things stand, Newcastle are determined to retain the Italy international, making it clear that they have no plans to sanction his departure despite mounting interest from Spurs and other clubs.
