Chelsea Eye Shock £80m Move for Liverpool Star Alexis Mac Allister
Chelsea are reportedly monitoring Alexis Mac Allister’s situation at Liverpool and could consider a surprise move for the Argentine midfielder if he becomes available this summer.
Reports suggest the Blues are also interested in Alex Scott and Adam Wharton, but Mac Allister could emerge as a priority should Liverpool be willing to negotiate.
Despite growing speculation, new Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has made it clear he wants to keep the 27-year-old at Anfield. The Spaniard praised Mac Allister as one of Liverpool’s standout performers and insisted his focus is on strengthening the squad rather than selling key players.
Chelsea’s interest comes despite already having fellow Argentina international Enzo Fernández, with the pair enjoying a successful partnership for their national team.
If Liverpool were ever to consider a sale to a direct Premier League rival, the fee would likely be substantial. Reports suggest it could take an offer in the region of £80 million or more to even begin discussions.
For now, however, Iraola’s stance indicates Mac Allister is expected to remain at Liverpool beyond the close of the summer transfer window.
