Tottenham Hotspur’s summer rebuild is showing no signs of slowing down, but Roberto De Zerbi is reportedly unwilling to sanction the departure of one of his attacking players until the club secures a crucial replacement.
After ending last season in a disappointing 17th place, Spurs have already transformed their squad with the arrivals of Sandro Tonali, Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke, Martin Dúbravka and Mateus Fernandes.
With the defence and midfield significantly strengthened, Tottenham’s attention has now shifted towards improving their attack. Dominic Solanke remains central to De Zerbi’s plans, while the club continues to monitor several attacking targets. However, uncertainty still surrounds the futures of some current forwards.
European giants keeping watch
One experienced Spurs attacker has emerged as a serious target for a leading Serie A club ahead of the new campaign. Despite the growing interest, the player is reportedly keen to remain in England after settling comfortably into life in the UK following a significant personal milestone, a stance that could complicate any potential transfer.
De Zerbi draws a clear line
Although Tottenham would consider selling if a suitable offer arrives, De Zerbi is said to have made it clear that no deal will be approved until the club signs an adequate replacement. The Italian values the forward’s versatility, experience and tireless work ethic, making him reluctant to lose the player without first strengthening his attacking options.
Spurs continue striker hunt
Tottenham remain in the market for another centre-forward as they look to give De Zerbi greater depth in attack. Several strikers continue to be linked with a move to North London, but until one is signed, Spurs are expected to stand firm over the future of their current attacker.
