Cristian Romero Leaves Tottenham Fans Furious With Response to Questions Over Arsenal Transfer Rumours
Cristian Romero has sparked a strong reaction from Tottenham supporters after his reported response to speculation linking him with a move to Arsenal. The Spurs defender is said to have made comments that many fans viewed as disrespectful, adding fuel to rumours surrounding his future.
Romero has been a key figure for Tottenham since arriving from Atalanta in 2021, establishing himself as one of the club’s most influential defenders. However, recent reports claim Arsenal have shown interest in signing the Argentine, despite the fierce rivalry between the two North London clubs.
According to the reports, Romero suggested he would not rule out a move to Arsenal if Tottenham no longer wanted him. The alleged comments have angered many Spurs fans, with some questioning his commitment to the club and calling for him to lose the captaincy.
Tottenham are reportedly unwilling to sell Romero to Arsenal and would instead prefer to negotiate with clubs outside England, including Inter Milan and Atlético Madrid. Meanwhile, Spurs have already strengthened their defence, increasing speculation that Romero could leave before the transfer window closes.
The controversy has reignited memories of controversial cross-North London transfers and intensified debate over Romero’s future. While a move to Arsenal remains unlikely, the reported remarks have already damaged his relationship with a section of the Tottenham fanbase.
