Former Arsenal star ‘open’ to a move as Tottenham plot a stunning transfer swoop 👀

Former Arsenal striker ‘open’ to Premier League return amid surprise Tottenham interest

Former Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun is reportedly open to leaving Monaco this summer, with Tottenham emerging as one of the clubs monitoring his situation.

The 25-year-old enjoyed a strong campaign with Monaco last season, scoring 19 goals across all competitions. He also impressed for the United States at the 2026 World Cup, finding the net three times in five appearances.

Tottenham are currently looking to add another centre-forward to Roberto De Zerbi’s squad after strengthening other areas of the team during the summer transfer window.

According to Football Insider’s Pete O’Rourke, Balogun could be interested in a return to the Premier League if the right opportunity presents itself.

The striker has already attracted attention from several clubs, including Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland, but Tottenham are now among the teams keeping tabs on his availability.

Balogun left Arsenal for Monaco in 2023 in a deal worth around €30 million after struggling to establish himself as a regular at the Emirates.

Monaco manager Filipe Luis has admitted he expects plenty of interest in the striker following his performances last season and at the World Cup.

“He is one of our players,” Luis said. “I know he’s going to receive a lot of offers given his last season and his World Cup performance.

“He’s a special player. You don’t find many players on the market with his attributes.”

For Tottenham, a move for Balogun would add another intriguing twist to the north London transfer rivalry, given his Arsenal connections.
