Five Tottenham Transfers That Could Happen This Week, Including £130m Premier League Double Deal
Tottenham Hotspur have already enjoyed one of the busiest transfer windows in recent years, but Roberto De Zerbi may not be finished reshaping his squad just yet.
Spurs have invested more than £200 million on new players this summer, while the arrivals of Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers have further strengthened the squad. The club have also generated more than £70 million from player sales, with Luka Vuskovic’s move to Brighton accounting for a significant portion of that figure.
After narrowly avoiding a relegation battle last season, De Zerbi will be determined to build a team capable of pushing much higher up the Premier League table.
Tottenham have remained unbeaten during pre-season and most recently drew with Getafe. They will face Hoffenheim at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium before opening their league campaign away against Brentford.
With the new season approaching, several more deals could potentially be completed this week.
Cody Gakpo
Tottenham’s pursuit of Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo has yet to produce a breakthrough, but the situation could change if Liverpool make progress with their own attacking targets.
Liverpool have reportedly been linked with Paris Saint-Germain forwards Bradley Barcola and Ibrahim Mbaye, while PSG are also closing in on Ferran Torres. Any movement involving those players could create a chain reaction in the transfer market.
Gakpo would bring extensive Premier League and international experience to Spurs. With Randal Kolo Muani no longer in north London, the Dutch attacker could also provide valuable versatility by operating in several positions across the forward line.
Savinho
Tottenham remain interested in Manchester City winger Savinho, having previously explored a deal for the Brazilian when Thomas Frank was still in charge.
Savinho struggled for regular playing time at City last season and is reportedly still open to the possibility of moving to north London.
Manchester City paid more than £30 million for the winger and could now look to make a sizeable profit from his sale. Spurs, however, may question whether City’s reported £60 million valuation is justified.
Savinho has registered seven goals and 16 assists across two seasons at the club, although only two of those goals have come in the Premier League.
Manor Solomon
While De Zerbi continues to look for new additions, Tottenham also need to trim their squad, with Manor Solomon among the players expected to leave.
The Israel international is reportedly close to joining West Ham in a deal worth an initial £5 million.
Solomon’s time at Spurs has been disrupted by injury, and he has struggled to establish himself since arriving. Last season, he spent time on loan at Villarreal and Fiorentina.
His previous loan spell at Leeds was far more successful, and West Ham will be hoping he can rediscover that form.
Georges Mikautadze
Another striker being considered by Tottenham is Villarreal forward Georges Mikautadze.
The 25-year-old attracted considerable attention while representing Georgia at Euro 2024 and has continued to build an impressive club career.
Mikautadze has scored at least 10 league goals for three different clubs over the past three seasons. His performances at Metz earned him a move to Lyon before Villarreal signed him in September 2025.
With his reported valuation standing at around £31 million, he could represent a more affordable option compared with some of Tottenham’s other attacking targets.
However, his lack of Premier League experience would make the move something of a gamble.
Cristian Romero
Cristian Romero remains one of the biggest names linked with a Tottenham exit.
The Argentina international, who captained Spurs last season, has attracted interest from Atletico Madrid and Barcelona, while a potential move to Arsenal has also been discussed.
However, a transfer to Arsenal appears highly unlikely given the rivalry between the two north London clubs.
With Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke joining the squad, coupled with expectations that Micky van de Ven will extend his contract, Romero could find himself surplus to requirements.
A move to Atletico Madrid may therefore be the most realistic option. Diego Simeone already knows Romero well from their shared Argentine background, while several of Romero’s international teammates are also based at the Metropolitano.
Tottenham could therefore experience another busy week, with both major arrivals and important departures potentially taking place before the new Premier League season gets underway.
