Arsenal Complete Signing of 16-Year-Old Liverpool Wonderkid Vincent Joseph 🔴⚪
Arsenal have officially confirmed the signing of highly rated 16-year-old striker Vincent Joseph from Liverpool, continuing their recent push to strengthen their academy.
Joseph became one of the standout young forwards at youth level during his nine years on Merseyside, impressing with his goalscoring record for both Liverpool and England’s youth teams.
Arsenal confirmed that the teenager has joined as part of their first-year scholarship intake for the 2026/27 season.
The young striker enjoyed an impressive start with Liverpool’s Under-18s last season, scoring three goals in his opening two appearances. He has also found the net eight times in nine matches for England Under-16s, while registering an assist.
Joseph will reunite with several familiar faces in north London, including Ethan Nwaneri and Charlie Phillips, whom he has previously played alongside at international level. His attacking partnership with Nwaneri has already produced positive results for England’s youth teams.
The move brings Joseph’s nine-year spell at Liverpool to an end. He confirmed his departure in an emotional social media message, thanking the club for the memories before signing off with “YNWA.”
Arsenal have continued to invest heavily in their academy, with several promising youngsters arriving in recent months, including Andria Bartishvili, Mylo Bernard, James Scanlon, Habeeb Ogunneye, Elijah Upson, Igor Tyjon, Axel Donczew and Phoenix Blayney.
Meanwhile, Arsenal academy graduate Max Dowman, also aged 16, continues to attract attention after making an impact around the first team.
Joseph will now look to continue his development at Arsenal and help the club compete for trophies at academy level this season.
