Spurs Fans Furious With ‘Lazy’ Star After Disappointing Display in 3-1 Defeat to Liverpool

Spurs Fans Turn on Mohammed Kudus After Disappointing Liverpool Defeat

Tottenham Hotspur supporters have heavily criticised Mohammed Kudus following his disappointing display in Spurs’ 3-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Liverpool.

Liverpool took control in the 21st minute when Alexis Mac Allister produced another stunning strike, before Cody Gakpo doubled the advantage shortly after half-time with a composed finish.

Conor Gallagher gave Tottenham hope in the 69th minute after Liverpool were punished for a defensive mistake, but Dominik Szoboszlai sealed the victory with a spectacular stoppage-time strike.

The defeat means Roberto De Zerbi’s difficult start to life at Tottenham has continued, with Spurs still searching for their first win of the campaign.

Kudus Struggles Again

Mohammed Kudus endured another frustrating night as he failed to make a significant impact against Liverpool.

The Ghanaian winger, who missed the second half of last season through injury, has struggled to reproduce the form that made him such an exciting player during his time at West Ham.

Kudus had an opportunity to bring Tottenham back into the contest but saw his effort saved by Giorgi Mamardashvili. He struggled to influence proceedings and was eventually replaced by Savio in the 75th minute.

His statistics told the story. Kudus completed just one of his four attempted crosses, missed a big chance and successfully completed only one of four attempted dribbles.

With competition for places increasing, particularly with Savio pushing for a starting role, the performance did little to strengthen Kudus’ case.

Spurs Supporters Voice Their Frustration

Tottenham fans were quick to express their disappointment with Kudus on social media, with several questioning his work rate and suggesting his previous injury problems may still be affecting him.

One supporter wrote that Kudus had been “shocking” and suggested the injury had clearly affected him.

Another criticised his effort, while others described his performance as disappointing and questioned what had happened to the player who previously impressed at West Ham.

Kudus joined Tottenham from West Ham in a reported £55 million deal in the summer of 2025, with expectations that he would become one of Spurs’ key attacking players.

However, injuries and inconsistent performances have so far prevented him from establishing himself as the influential figure many Tottenham supporters expected.
