Bayern Munich make firm decision on Michael Olise amid Liverpool interest

Liverpool’s hopes of signing Michael Olise in 2027 appear to have suffered a major setback, with German journalist Christian Falk revealing Bayern Munich’s firm position on the winger.

Olise had previously been considered by Liverpool as a possible long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, who departed Anfield at the end of last season. However, the Reds ultimately spent £123 million on Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain instead.

Although Barcola started on the right during Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Atletico Madrid, the France international is naturally more comfortable operating from the left. That has left Liverpool potentially needing a specialist right winger in the future.

According to journalist Farrell Keeling, Liverpool remain admirers of Olise and could still consider a move for the Bayern Munich star.

However, Bayern have reportedly made their position crystal clear.

Falk has stated that there is no possibility of Bayern selling Olise during the January transfer window, regardless of how much another club is willing to offer.

The German journalist explained that Bayern have no intention of weakening their squad midway through the season, particularly with their sights set on winning the Champions League.

Olise is therefore expected to remain at Bayern for the entire campaign, with Liverpool, Real Madrid, PSG and other interested clubs facing no realistic opportunity to sign him in January.

Liverpool may have to wait much longer if they want to make Olise their next big attacking target. 🔴👀
