TOTTENHAM HANDED FRESH JAMES MADDISON INJURY UPDATE AHEAD OF CRYSTAL PALACE CLASH

Tottenham Hotspur are waiting for a final decision on James Maddison’s fitness ahead of their Premier League encounter with Crystal Palace following a fresh injury concern.

The England international remains an important player for Spurs because of his creativity, vision and ability to influence attacking situations.

Maddison only recently returned to action after spending a lengthy period on the sidelines with an anterior cruciate ligament injury suffered last season. However, his comeback has been disrupted by further fitness problems, including an earlier shoulder injury this campaign.

The midfielder reportedly picked up a groin problem during Tottenham’s 2-0 victory over Chelsea. He was unable to continue and was substituted in the second half, raising concerns about his availability for the upcoming fixture.

Head coach Roberto De Zerbi is awaiting further medical examinations to determine the seriousness of the issue and whether Maddison will be fit to face Crystal Palace.

There is, however, a positive sign for Tottenham, as Maddison was seen walking without assistance after the Chelsea game and joined his teammates in celebrating the important victory.

Despite that encouraging development, Spurs are expected to be cautious with the midfielder given his recent injury history.

His participation in Saturday’s meeting with Crystal Palace remains uncertain, with his condition set to be assessed before a final decision is made.

Potential return: October 31 against Crystal Palace, subject to passing fitness tests.

In short: Tottenham are facing uncertainty over James Maddison after the midfielder suffered a suspected groin injury against Chelsea. His availability for the Crystal Palace clash will depend on the outcome of further medical assessments.
