TRENT ALEXANDER-ARNOLD MAKES LIVERPOOL RETURN DECISION AMID REAL MADRID STRUGGLES!

Trent Alexander-Arnold is reportedly not considering an immediate return to Liverpool, despite growing concerns about his limited playing time at Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old defender has endured a difficult second season in Spain and has fallen behind Federico Valverde in the competition for the right-back position under José Mourinho.

His struggles have naturally fuelled speculation about a possible emotional reunion with Liverpool. However, the latest reports suggest that neither the England international nor his former club is ready to pursue such a move.

TRENT DETERMINED TO FIGHT FOR HIS PLACE AT REAL MADRID

According to Football Insider, Alexander-Arnold intends to remain at Real Madrid and fight for regular first-team football rather than push for an immediate return to Anfield.

The former Liverpool vice-captain has started just three of Real Madrid’s opening nine La Liga matches this season, raising questions about his role in Mourinho’s plans.

Despite his limited opportunities, the defender remains under contract with the Spanish giants until 2031 and is still viewed as part of the manager’s plans.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are also keeping their distance from the situation. Although uncertainty remains over the club’s right-back position, the Reds are not currently pursuing a reunion with their former academy graduate.

Alexander-Arnold has previously made it clear that Liverpool still holds a special place in his heart, admitting that he continues to follow the club and wants to see them succeed.

WHY A LIVERPOOL REUNION IS NOT STRAIGHTFORWARD

There is no denying the appeal of bringing Alexander-Arnold back to Anfield. The defender developed through Liverpool’s academy and is renowned for his exceptional passing range, creativity and ability to change games from defence.

However, Liverpool’s current options could make a return more complicated than it appears. Ronald Araujo, Jeremie Frimpong and Conor Bradley are among the players competing for opportunities on the right, while Andoni Iraola’s system places significant physical and defensive demands on full-backs.

Although Alexander-Arnold could offer Liverpool considerable creativity, his arrival would not necessarily address all the team’s defensive concerns.

His departure in 2025 also remains a sensitive subject among some supporters. His decision to leave after running down his contract disappointed sections of the Liverpool fanbase, meaning a potential return could reopen old debates.

WILL TRENT EVER RETURN TO ANFIELD?

For now, Alexander-Arnold appears focused on reviving his fortunes in Spain, while Liverpool continue to assess their options for the future.

A return to Anfield cannot be completely ruled out, but neither side appears ready to make that move at this stage.

For Liverpool supporters who still dream of seeing Trent wear the famous red shirt again, the possibility remains open — but an immediate reunion looks unlikely.
