BIG BOOST FOR TOTTENHAM! PEDRO PORRO EDGES CLOSER TO CHELSEA CLASH RETURN

Tottenham Hotspur have received encouraging injury news ahead of their crucial London derby against Chelsea, with Pedro Porro reportedly pushing to return to action.

Spurs have endured several fitness setbacks this season, forcing head coach Roberto De Zerbi to make frequent changes to his starting lineup. Although some injured players are making progress, the continued absences have complicated Tottenham’s preparations for important fixtures.

Dejan Kulusevski has already returned after more than 500 days out, while Wilson Odobert and Xavi Simons are also progressing in their recoveries from serious knee injuries.

However, Destiny Udogie, Lucas Bergvall and Savio were unavailable for Tottenham’s recent Premier League encounter with Coventry City, leaving De Zerbi with limited options. Spurs eventually secured a 3-1 victory, recording their first league win of the season.

Attention has now shifted to Saturday’s difficult trip to Stamford Bridge, where Tottenham will face Chelsea in a highly anticipated derby.

👀 Pedro Porro Could Return Against Chelsea

Porro is working towards a possible comeback after suffering a hamstring injury during Tottenham’s 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa before the international break. The Spanish defender was forced off after just 19 minutes, raising concerns about his availability for the coming fixtures.

The right-back has endured a frustrating 2026/27 campaign so far, managing only 224 minutes across all competitions because of fitness problems.

There was, however, a positive sign last Friday when Porro shared a video of himself working out in the gym alongside the message, “Almost back.”

Although he missed the Coventry match, fresh optimism surrounds his chances of returning for the Chelsea showdown.

His potential comeback would provide a timely boost for De Zerbi, who opted to play without a natural right-back against Coventry. While that tactical decision helped Spurs secure three important points, repeating the same approach against Chelsea could present a much tougher challenge.

Porro’s return would give Tottenham additional attacking threat down the right flank while improving the balance of their defence.

Spurs are also hoping Udogie will be available again soon, as having both full-backs fit would significantly strengthen their defensive options.

With the London derby fast approaching, all eyes will be on Porro’s fitness as Tottenham look to build on their recent victory.
