LIVERPOOL SUFFER ANOTHER INJURY BLOW AS IRAOLA DELIVERS WORRYING FRIMPONG UPDATE!

Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has suggested that Jeremie Frimpong could miss at least six matches after picking up another muscle injury during the Reds’ 2-1 comeback victory over Brentford.

Although Liverpool celebrated an important win on Saturday, the result came at a cost, with both Frimpong and Dominik Szoboszlai suffering injury concerns.

Frimpong had only been introduced at half-time but was forced off just seven minutes later after sustaining the problem. With Liverpool preparing to face Villarreal in the Champions League, Iraola has provided an update on the condition of both players.

❌ Frimpong Facing Lengthy Spell on the Sidelines

Speaking ahead of the Villarreal clash, Iraola admitted that Frimpong is unlikely to return before the November international break.

The Liverpool boss explained that the injury occurred within the Dutchman’s first few minutes on the pitch, adding that it was difficult to determine his exact recovery time.

Although the club will do everything possible to get him back sooner, Iraola acknowledged that having the right-back available before the international break would be difficult.

This could mean Frimpong misses Liverpool’s next six fixtures, with the home match against Manchester United potentially marking his return if his recovery progresses as hoped.

The setback is particularly frustrating for the Dutch defender, who has already endured an injury-disrupted spell at Anfield. He has also faced competition for his place from Ronald Araujo this season.

⚠️ Szoboszlai Injury Update Offers Some Hope

There was slightly more encouraging news regarding Dominik Szoboszlai, although Liverpool will need to remain patient with the Hungarian midfielder.

Iraola revealed that Szoboszlai’s problem appears to be in the same area as his previous injury and has not become worse. However, the midfielder has yet to recover fully, meaning the club will avoid rushing him back into action.

His availability for the Villarreal match remains in doubt, while the gap before Liverpool’s next Premier League fixture against Brighton could give him additional time to recover.

😰 Liverpool’s Injury Problems Continue to Grow

Frimpong’s potential absence is another headache for Liverpool, particularly with Conor Bradley still recovering from a serious knee injury.

With matches coming thick and fast, the growing injury list could create further selection problems for Iraola during a crucial period of the campaign.

Liverpool will be hoping Frimpong’s absence does not extend beyond the initial timeframe and that Szoboszlai can return to full fitness soon.
