Liverpool Win Race for Yan Diomande as PSG Miss Out
Liverpool have reportedly emerged as the favourites to sign highly-rated Ivory Coast winger Yan Diomande, beating Paris Saint-Germain in the race for the 19-year-old’s signature.
Diomande has attracted significant attention following an impressive season with RB Leipzig and his strong performances at the World Cup. The young attacker has been one of the standout talents of the tournament, further increasing interest from Europe’s top clubs.
Reports suggest that both Liverpool and PSG held discussions with the player, but the Premier League side have now taken a decisive step towards securing the deal. PSG are believed to have cooled their pursuit after refusing to meet RB Leipzig’s valuation.
The Reds view Diomande as a key part of their long-term plans and see him as a player capable of adding pace, creativity and goals to their attack. His arrival would continue Liverpool’s efforts to strengthen the squad ahead of the new campaign.
Diomande scored 13 goals in 36 appearances last season and has continued to impress on the international stage, making him one of the most sought-after young talents in world football.
