Liverpool reportedly open talks to sign Kylian Mbappe as Real Madrid exit plans emerge

Liverpool have reportedly revived their interest in Real Madrid superstar Kylian Mbappe, with claims that the French forward could leave the Spanish giants in the summer of 2027.

Spanish journalist Francois Gallardo claims Mbappe is unhappy at the Bernabeu and has already decided to move on, with the Premier League emerging as his preferred destination.

According to Gallardo, Liverpool are Mbappe’s priority, and the Reds have reportedly made contact with his mother and representative, Fayza Lamari, in recent weeks.

However, securing the 27-year-old’s signature would come at a staggering cost. Reports suggest Real Madrid could demand between €200 million and €250 million (£174 million–£218 million) before considering his departure.

Despite Mbappe’s impressive form, which has reportedly seen him score eight goals in eight appearances across La Liga and the Champions League this season, his future in Madrid is now attracting serious speculation.

Liverpool already have several attacking options, including Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike, Cody Gakpo and other promising talents. Spending such an enormous amount on another forward would therefore represent a major financial commitment.

Nevertheless, the prospect of bringing one of football’s biggest superstars to Anfield could be tempting for the Merseyside club.

It remains to be seen whether Liverpool will make a serious move, as the claims about Mbappe’s departure and the reported negotiations have not been officially confirmed.
