Tottenham Keep Tabs on Rising Premier League Goalkeeper
Tottenham are reportedly keeping a close eye on Hull City goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis after the Greek international made an impressive start to life in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old only moved to Hull from Olympiacos in August, but his early performances have already attracted attention from several clubs in England and across Europe.
Spurs are continuing to assess their long-term options between the posts, and Tzolakis has reportedly emerged as one of the names being monitored.
According to reports from TEAMtalk, Tottenham are among the clubs following the goalkeeper after his strong beginning to the season with newly promoted Hull.
Tzolakis joined Hull in a club-record deal worth around £20 million plus add-ons, signing a five-year contract. Before moving to England, he made 131 senior appearances for Olympiacos, winning eight trophies, including four league titles and the 2023/24 UEFA Conference League.
His start in England has also been impressive. He recorded three clean sheets in his first five league appearances, while starting every game during that run.
Hull also produced some notable results during that period, beating Manchester United 2-0, defeating Coventry 1-0, drawing 0-0 with Aston Villa and earning a point against Chelsea. Their first league defeat came against Newcastle in a 2-1 loss.
Tottenham’s Interest Could Be Long-Term Planning
For Tottenham, any interest in Tzolakis appears to be more about future planning than an immediate need for a new goalkeeper.
Antonín Kinský remains part of Spurs’ first-team plans, but the club is continuing to monitor young goalkeepers with the potential to develop into top-level players.
Tzolakis already has Premier League experience, European pedigree and strong early performances behind him, making him an intriguing option.
However, Hull only signed him recently and have him under contract until 2031. With the goalkeeper arriving for a club-record fee, any potential Tottenham approach would likely require a significant offer.
For now, Spurs appear to be monitoring his progress. If Tzolakis maintains his current level throughout the season, his value could increase considerably and competition for his signature could become even stronger.
