Michael Olise Linked With Arsenal as Sensational Transfer Claim Emerges
Michael Olise has been at the centre of a fresh Arsenal transfer rumour after a viral report claimed the Bayern Munich winger could consider a move to North London under certain conditions.
The unverified story suggests that Olise would only be willing to join Arsenal if one of the club’s established attacking players was moved on, supposedly because he would want a prominent role in the team rather than competing for limited playing time.
However, there is currently no credible evidence that Olise has made such a demand, and no reliable source has confirmed the alleged ultimatum.
What is clear is that Olise has established himself as one of Europe’s most dangerous attacking players.
The France international enjoyed an outstanding 2025/26 season with Bayern Munich, producing 15 Bundesliga goals and 19 assists. His performances earned him the Bundesliga Player of the Season award, while he also continued to impress on the international stage with France.
His impressive development has naturally attracted attention from some of Europe’s biggest clubs, with Arsenal potentially fitting the profile of a team that could benefit from his creativity and versatility.
Olise can operate on the right flank, create opportunities for teammates, carry the ball effectively and contribute goals. Those qualities would make him an attractive option for Arsenal’s attack.
There is, however, a major obstacle.
Bayern Munich have repeatedly indicated that they have no intention of selling the winger. Bayern president Herbert Hainer previously dismissed speculation about a potential departure, while honorary president Uli Hoeneß also backed the club’s position.
Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen later insisted that reports of Olise leaving were far removed from reality and revealed that the club had not received an offer for him.
Olise’s contract is another significant factor. The winger is tied to Bayern until 2029, while sporting director Max Eberl confirmed that his agreement does not contain a release clause.
That means any potential move to Arsenal would likely require Bayern to change their current stance and accept a major offer.
The viral story has also sparked speculation about which Arsenal attacker would supposedly have to leave to make room for Olise. Names such as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli could naturally enter the discussion, but there is no reliable evidence that Olise has specifically requested the departure of either player.
In reality, Arsenal would have to consider sporting plans, finances, squad balance and the player’s willingness to compete for his position before making such a major decision.
Olise’s statistics nevertheless show why he would be an attractive target. Across all competitions last season, he recorded 22 goals and 29 assists for Bayern, including 19 Bundesliga assists.
His strong form has also continued into the 2026/27 campaign, with the winger already making an impact in the Bundesliga.
For Arsenal, signing a player of Olise’s quality would represent a significant attacking addition. His creativity, passing and ability to produce decisive moments could make him an intriguing option for a team competing for major honours.
For now, though, there is no confirmed indication that Arsenal are close to signing him.
Bayern’s public position remains that Olise is staying in Munich, with the player contracted until 2029 and no reported release clause.
As a result, the claim that Olise has effectively told Arsenal to remove one of their stars before joining should be treated as an unverified online rumour rather than confirmed transfer news.
If Bayern’s position ever changes, however, a potential Arsenal pursuit of Olise would undoubtedly become a major transfer storyline.
