Tottenham set for financial boost from Troy Parrott’s potential West Ham move

Spurs in line for £5m windfall as West Ham target Troy Parrott

Tottenham could receive a financial boost this summer if Troy Parrott completes a move from AZ Alkmaar to West Ham United.

The Republic of Ireland striker struggled to establish himself in Spurs’ first team, spending time on five separate loan spells before joining AZ permanently. Since moving to the Netherlands, Parrott has flourished, scoring 51 goals in 96 appearances and attracting interest from Premier League clubs.

According to reports, West Ham are considering a £25 million move for the 24-year-old. Thanks to a 20% sell-on clause inserted into Parrott’s transfer to AZ, Tottenham would reportedly earn around £5 million if the deal is completed.

After relegation last season, West Ham are rebuilding in a bid to secure an immediate return to the Premier League. The Hammers have already strengthened their finances by selling Mateus Fernandes to Tottenham and Crysencio Summerville to Al Hilal, giving them room to invest in new signings.

While a return to England could appeal to Parrott, he is enjoying an excellent spell with AZ, where he has also won silverware after scoring in last season’s cup final. Whether he chooses to leave the Eredivisie remains to be seen, but his future is expected to be one to watch before the transfer window closes.
