Trabzonspor eye stunning move to reunite Mohamed Salah with former Liverpool teammate
Mohamed Salah could soon be reunited with one of his former Liverpool teammates as Trabzonspor reportedly consider another ambitious transfer.
The Egyptian forward is set to continue his career in Turkey after agreeing to leave Liverpool and join Trabzonspor on a free transfer. He is expected to sign a two-year contract and become one of the highest-paid players in the Turkish Super Lig.
Salah received an incredible welcome upon arriving in Trabzon, with thousands of supporters turning out to greet their new star. He expressed his excitement about the move and made it clear that his ambition is to compete for trophies both domestically and in Europe.
However, Trabzonspor’s transfer plans may not stop with Salah.
Reports in Turkey claim the club are now interested in signing Darwin Nunez, potentially bringing the former Liverpool teammates back together.
Salah and Nunez developed a strong relationship during their time at Anfield, combining regularly on the pitch while also forming a close friendship away from football.
Nunez later moved to Saudi Arabia, but reports suggest Trabzonspor could attempt to bring the Uruguayan striker to Turkey and create a sensational reunion with Salah.
Should the transfer happen, Trabzonspor could have two former Liverpool attackers leading their frontline in what would be another major statement of intent from the Turkish club.
