Andoni Iraola has provided an update on Bradley Barcola after the £123M summer signing was forced off during Liverpool’s 2-1 Champions League victory over Atlético Madrid.
The French winger appeared to be struggling with his left calf and was substituted shortly before the hour mark, sparking fears among Reds supporters.
But Iraola has now revealed that Barcola was only suffering from cramp, insisting there is no serious injury.
The Liverpool boss admitted they are still managing the forward carefully because he missed much of pre-season.
Barcola was making his first start for Liverpool after coming off the bench against Ipswich Town in his Premier League debut.
