Bradley Barcola made his first full start for Liverpool in their 2-1 Champions League victory over Atlético Madrid, but his performance has already sparked plenty of debate among supporters.
⚡ The £120M summer signing showed flashes of his incredible pace and dribbling ability, creating problems for Atlético’s defence and offering Liverpool plenty of attacking energy.
However, some fans were left frustrated by his lack of end product, with his finishing and decision-making in the final third coming under criticism.
🤔 Others believe Liverpool are using him in the wrong position, arguing that Barcola would be far more effective on the left rather than filling the space on the right previously occupied by Mohamed Salah.
Barcola was eventually substituted after 60 minutes, but manager Andoni Iraola later confirmed there was no major injury concern — it was simply cramp.
🔥 With more minutes and time to adapt to Liverpool’s system, fans will be hoping the French winger can turn those exciting flashes into goals and assists.
