DEJAN KULUSEVSKI RETURN UPDATE: SPURS STAR CLOSER THAN EVER AFTER 477-DAY ABSENCE

Tottenham fans have finally been handed a major boost, with Dejan Kulusevski edging closer to a long-awaited return after spending around 16 months on the sidelines.

The Swedish winger has not played since May 2025 after suffering a serious knee injury that ruled him out for the entire 2025/26 season. He underwent multiple surgeries during his recovery, including another procedure in March.

Kulusevski returned to first-team training with Tottenham at the beginning of September, and Sweden manager Graham Potter has revealed that the 26-year-old could be in contention for the national team during the upcoming international break.

Sweden have four Nations League fixtures scheduled between September 21 and October 6, with matches against Romania, Poland and Bosnia & Herzegovina.

Potter says Kulusevski is now “very close” to returning and hopes to reach an agreement with Tottenham’s medical team that could allow him to feature if he is deemed fully fit.

However, Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi recently revealed that Kulusevski experienced a minor setback after returning to training, although he remains positive about the player’s progress.

After such a lengthy and difficult recovery, Tottenham supporters could finally be nearing the moment they’ve been waiting for — Kulusevski back on the pitch. 👀🔥
