Arsenal are reportedly lining up an alternative attacking target as uncertainty continues to surround a potential move for Vinicius Junior.
The Gunners are said to be monitoring the Real Madrid winger’s contract situation, but with the Spanish giants now pushing to secure his long-term future through an improved offer, Arsenal are preparing a backup plan.
Reports suggest Mikel Arteta’s side could turn their attention to Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola, who has also emerged as Liverpool’s primary attacking target. Arsenal are believed to be ready to challenge the Reds for the France international if a move for Vinicius fails to materialise.
However, any deal for Barcola is expected to be expensive, with PSG reportedly valuing the 23-year-old at around £140 million. Liverpool remain strongly linked with the winger, but Arsenal could enter the race if they are forced to abandon their pursuit of Vinicius.
