Unseen footage from the 2026 Ballon d’Or ceremony has caught fans’ attention after revealing Ousmane Dembélé’s reaction when Harry Kane was announced as the winner of football’s biggest individual prize.
Dembélé, who lifted the Ballon d’Or in 2025, finished seventh in this year’s voting despite helping Paris Saint-Germain enjoy another successful campaign, retaining both the Ligue 1 title and Champions League trophy.
However, it was Kane who stole the spotlight this time around after an outstanding 2025/26 season with Bayern Munich, winning both the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal while helping England secure third place at the World Cup.
👀 DEMBÉLÉ AND RODRI IMPRESS FANS WITH THEIR SPORTSMANSHIP
The prestigious ceremony, held at London’s Palladium Theatre, brought together some of the biggest names in world football.
As Kane celebrated his historic achievement, cameras captured the reactions of former Ballon d’Or winners Dembélé and Rodri.
Both stars stood up to congratulate the Bayern Munich striker, with their gestures earning admiration from supporters who praised their class and sportsmanship.
However, eagle-eyed viewers noticed Dembélé seemingly looking in Kylian Mbappé’s direction, sparking speculation about what might have been going through his mind.
One fan jokingly commented: “Dembélé checking Mbappé like, ‘How you feel now, bro?’”
Another supporter praised Rodri’s reaction, writing: “See how happy Rodri is. That is a sportsman.”
Meanwhile, some fans sympathised with Mbappé, suggesting that the Real Madrid forward was understandably disappointed but trying to hide his emotions after finishing second.
Lamine Yamal’s reaction also attracted attention, as some viewers noticed that the young Barcelona star remained seated while applauding Kane.
🏆 DEMBÉLÉ STILL HAD SOMETHING TO CELEBRATE
Although Dembélé missed out on retaining his individual award, the French forward still enjoyed a memorable moment during the ceremony.
He accepted the Men’s Club of the Year award on behalf of Paris Saint-Germain, celebrating the collective effort that helped the French giants achieve success.
Dembélé highlighted the importance of unity within the squad and praised the team’s determination to make their supporters proud, while acknowledging the attention they attract from football fans around the world.

Kane ultimately finished ahead of Mbappé and Yamal, who completed the top three in the men’s Ballon d’Or rankings.
Mbappé had an impressive individual campaign with Real Madrid, scoring 42 goals, while Yamal continued to establish himself as one of football’s most exciting young players.
Despite the competition, Kane emerged as the night’s biggest winner, capping off a remarkable season with one of the most prestigious honours in the sport.
