JUDE BELLINGHAM MAKES REAL MADRID FUTURE CLEAR AS LIVERPOOL TRANSFER HOPES TAKE A HIT
Jude Bellingham is reportedly preparing to commit his future to Real Madrid, potentially ending speculation about a sensational return to the Premier League.
The 23-year-old England international has been linked with several English clubs since leaving Birmingham City in 2020. Liverpool were among the teams interested in signing him before he joined Real Madrid in 2023.
However, former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown believes Bellingham is ready to reject interest from Liverpool and other admirers in favour of extending his stay at the Spanish giants.
According to reports, Real Madrid are prepared to offer the midfielder a new contract that could keep him at the Bernabéu until 2031.
WHY LIVERPOOL COULD MISS OUT ON BELLINGHAM
Liverpool have frequently been mentioned as potential contenders whenever questions arise about Bellingham’s future. Nevertheless, Brown believes a move to Anfield is unlikely in the near future.
Speaking to Football Insider, Brown explained that although Bellingham continues to attract attention from English clubs, the midfielder is settled in Spain and remains an important figure at Real Madrid.
He said Liverpool are often the club linked with Bellingham whenever a possible transfer is discussed, but believes extending his Real Madrid contract would be the obvious decision for the player.
Bellingham has enjoyed a productive start to the current campaign, registering three goals and four assists in nine La Liga appearances.
Although he was previously linked with a possible Premier League return amid questions about his playing time under Xabi Alonso, those suggestions did not develop into a concrete move.
For now, the midfielder appears content with life in Madrid, leaving Liverpool facing the possibility of missing out on one of their long-term transfer targets once again.
LIVERPOOL COULD TURN THEIR ATTENTION TO TCHOUAMENI
With a move for Bellingham looking increasingly unlikely, Liverpool could explore alternative options to strengthen their midfield.
Football Insider previously reported that Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward was already planning for future transfer windows and could revive the club’s interest in AurĂ©lien TchouamĂ©ni.
The French midfielder was another player who chose Real Madrid over Liverpool, joining the Spanish club in 2022.
TchouamĂ©ni is viewed as a potential solution to several of Liverpool’s midfield problems. However, with reports suggesting he is also committed to extending his stay at Real Madrid, securing his signature could prove difficult.
For Liverpool, Bellingham’s reported decision could mean another frustrating transfer pursuit, with TchouamĂ©ni potentially emerging as an alternative target.
