Arsenal reportedly came close to pulling off a sensational move for Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr, according to claims from the Brazilian winger’s agent.
The Gunners were said to be in contention for the 25-year-old’s signature, but Vinicius ultimately decided against leaving the Santiago Bernabéu, choosing to continue his journey with Real Madrid instead.
The Brazilian remains one of the biggest names in world football, and a potential move to the Premier League would have been a massive statement of intent from Mikel Arteta’s side.
However, with Arsenal still looking to strengthen their squad and compete for major trophies, questions remain over what might have happened if the deal had gone through.
