DE ZERBI BANS … AT TOTTENHAM IN DESPERATE BID TO TURN SEASON AROUND!

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has introduced a strict rule during the club’s recent training camp in Marbella, Spain, as he looks for ways to improve the team’s struggling start to the season.

Spurs travelled to Spain after their dramatic 1-1 draw against Manchester United, with Dominic Solanke scoring a late equaliser despite Rodrigo Bentancur’s red card.

With Tottenham struggling near the bottom of the Premier League table, De Zerbi used the nine-day break to work on team spirit, communication and togetherness ahead of their clash with Coventry City.

📵 THE NEW RULE AT SPURS

De Zerbi revealed that players were not allowed to use their mobile phones during breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The Italian manager wants his squad to spend more time talking to one another instead of being glued to their screens.

“We removed phones from breakfast, lunch and dinner to stay together and to speak, because now it’s like that all the time,” De Zerbi explained.

The Spurs boss also held several important meetings with his players to discuss the club’s difficult situation and encourage everyone to take responsibility.

However, he stressed that the training camp was not about imposing military-style discipline. Players were still allowed to enjoy their free time together after training.

De Zerbi said the decision was made in consultation with the club’s hierarchy, explaining that spending more time together was particularly important because Tottenham had signed several new players and had limited opportunities to build team chemistry during pre-season.

With Spurs desperate to get their campaign back on track, De Zerbi hopes the team-building exercise will help improve performances on the pitch.

👀 Will banning phones at mealtimes help Tottenham turn their season around, or do Spurs have much bigger problems to solve?
