TOTTENHAM RECEIVE MAJOR FITNESS BOOST AS PORRO EDGES CLOSER TO RETURN

Tottenham Hotspur have received encouraging news ahead of Monday’s Premier League clash against Coventry City, with Pedro Porro hinting that his return to action could be just around the corner.

The Spanish right-back suffered a hamstring injury during Spurs’ defeat to Aston Villa before the international break. The setback also ruled him out of the 1-1 draw against Manchester United, but recent signs suggest his recovery is progressing positively.

Porro recently shared a video on social media showing him performing an explosive jump onto a training box. He accompanied the clip with a message suggesting that he was almost ready to return, giving Tottenham supporters fresh hope.

Although the video does not confirm that he is fully fit, it indicates that he is increasing the intensity of his rehabilitation.

His comeback would be a significant boost for head coach Roberto De Zerbi, who is looking to improve Tottenham’s performances. Porro offers plenty of attacking threat from the right flank, thanks to his dangerous crosses, forward runs and ability to create chances.

Archie Gray filled in at right-back against Manchester United, but Porro’s return would provide De Zerbi with another valuable option ahead of the Coventry encounter.

However, Tottenham will need to assess his condition carefully before deciding whether he is ready to feature.

More details are expected when De Zerbi addresses the media at his next press conference, where he could provide an update on Porro’s availability.

Meanwhile, Dejan Kulusevski is also working towards a return after an extended spell out with a complicated knee injury. Despite travelling with the squad for the Manchester United match, he was not included in the matchday group.

For now, Porro’s latest update offers Spurs fans reason for optimism, but official confirmation will be needed to determine whether he can play against Coventry.
