Kulusevski and Porro to Travel With Tottenham for Manchester United Clash
Tottenham Hotspur have received encouraging news ahead of their Premier League meeting with Manchester United, with Dejan Kulusevski and Pedro Porro set to travel with the squad to Old Trafford.
Head coach Roberto De Zerbi confirmed that both players will accompany their teammates despite remaining unavailable for selection because of their respective injuries.
Kulusevski Moves Closer to Tottenham Comeback
Kulusevski’s inclusion in the travelling squad represents another positive step in his recovery from a serious right knee injury.
The Swedish midfielder has been sidelined for more than 500 days after suffering a significant patella injury towards the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
However, his rehabilitation has recently shown encouraging signs. During the international break, Kulusevski took part in an 11-a-side training match against Tottenham’s academy players, marking another milestone in his recovery.
Despite his progress, Tottenham have yet to establish a specific date for his return to competitive action.
De Zerbi has praised the midfielder’s mentality and determination throughout his lengthy spell on the sidelines, describing his attitude as an example for the rest of the squad.
The Spurs boss also confirmed that Kulusevski would travel to Manchester alongside Porro, while acknowledging the efforts of the club’s medical team in supporting both players.
Porro to Join the Spurs Travelling Squad
Porro will also accompany Tottenham to Old Trafford, although the Spanish right-back is not yet fit enough to feature in the match.
The decision to include both injured players reflects De Zerbi’s desire to maintain togetherness within the squad as Tottenham prepare for a challenging Premier League encounter.
The manager believes that keeping the entire group united, including those currently recovering from injuries, can help strengthen the team’s spirit during an important period of the season.
Tottenham Remain Careful With Kulusevski’s Recovery
Despite the encouraging developments, Tottenham are unwilling to rush Kulusevski back into action after his extended absence.
De Zerbi admitted that there is still no confirmed timeline for the midfielder’s comeback, explaining that his progress will continue to be monitored closely alongside the club’s medical staff.
Tottenham want to ensure that Kulusevski regains full fitness before returning to competitive football, minimising the risk of another setback.
As a result, supporters will have to wait for further updates before learning when the Swedish international could be available for selection again.
Spurs Prepare for Manchester United Challenge
Tottenham head to Old Trafford looking to secure a positive result against Manchester United in the Premier League.
Although Kulusevski and Porro are not expected to play, their presence with the travelling squad offers a welcome boost to team unity.
For Kulusevski, in particular, this latest development represents another encouraging moment in his long road back to fitness, bringing supporters closer to seeing him return to the pitch.
