Andrea Berta sets hefty asking price for Viktor Gyokeres amid ‘unhappiness’ at Arsenal

Arsenal Set £60m+ Price Tag for Viktor Gyokeres Amid Uncertainty

Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly facing an uncertain future at Arsenal after struggling to establish himself as Mikel Arteta’s first-choice striker.

The 28-year-old Sweden international has yet to start a Premier League match this season and has failed to consistently impress in other competitions. His situation has reportedly left him unhappy, with Kai Havertz currently ahead of him in Arteta’s plans.

Arsenal paid an initial £55 million to sign Gyokeres from Sporting CP, where he established himself as one of Europe’s most prolific forwards. Although he scored more than 20 goals during his first season in north London, questions remain over whether his style suits Arsenal’s system.

His situation has attracted interest from Serie A, with Juventus and AC Milan reportedly monitoring his availability.

However, Arsenal are said to have ruled out a January loan move. Any departure would reportedly have to be a permanent transfer, with sporting director Andrea Berta placing a price tag of more than £60 million on the striker.

Gyokeres could now have a major opportunity to change the situation. Havertz is currently dealing with an injury and is unlikely to feature against Leeds United after the international break, potentially giving Gyokeres his first Premier League start of the campaign.

With Arsenal expected to continue searching for another No. 9, the Swedish striker may need to take advantage of this opportunity and start producing goals consistently if he wants to secure his long-term future at the Emirates.
