Real Madrid Emerge as Potential Destination for Virgil van Dijk Next Summer
Virgil van Dijk’s future at Liverpool is once again attracting attention, with his current contract set to expire next summer.
According to reports from Mundo Deportivo, Real Madrid could consider making a move for the Liverpool captain if this season turns out to be his final campaign at Anfield.
The 35-year-old defender is reportedly attracting interest from several clubs, including AC Milan, Galatasaray and Inter Milan.
Real Madrid recently completed the signing of Ibrahima Konate on a free transfer and could look to repeat a similar deal with Van Dijk. With Antonio Rudiger’s contract also due to expire next summer, the Dutchman could provide Madrid with experienced defensive cover on a short-term basis.
For now, Van Dijk’s future remains uncertain, with Liverpool yet to confirm whether the veteran centre-back will continue beyond the current season.
