Hungary Defender Bolla Carried Off on Stretcher After Injury Against Northern Ireland
Hungary defender Bendegúz Bolla was forced to leave the pitch during his team’s Nations League clash with Northern Ireland after suffering an ankle injury. 🚑
The 26-year-old started his second consecutive match but was injured in the 31st minute following a challenge with Northern Ireland midfielder Isaac Price, who accidentally caught Bolla’s ankle.
After receiving treatment on the pitch, Bolla was unable to continue and was replaced by Attila Osváth three minutes later.
The injury appeared serious as the Hungary right-back could not walk off by himself and had to be carried away on a stretcher.
Bolla had previously played the full 90 minutes in Hungary’s 1–0 defeat to Ukraine at the beginning of the Nations League campaign.
The defender has made 38 appearances for Hungary, registering two assists.
