Fabrizio Romano: Yankuba Minteh Gives Green Light to Dream Liverpool Move as Five-Year Deal Takes Shape

Liverpool have reportedly taken a major step toward signing Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh, with the player said to have agreed personal terms on a proposed five-year contract.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool are still working to strengthen their options on the wings this summer. Bradley Barcola remains their main target, but the Reds are also keen to bring in another winger, with Minteh emerging as one of the strongest alternatives.

Liverpool have already seen two offers rejected by Brighton — £50 million and £60 million — but the club is expected to return with another proposal.

Minteh has reportedly made his feelings clear. The 22-year-old is said to dream of joining Liverpool and has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League giants. His admiration for the club is believed to have been influenced by the success of African stars such as Mohamed Salah and his idol Sadio Mané at Anfield.

However, despite the player’s agreement, Liverpool and Brighton have yet to reach a transfer fee, meaning the deal is not completed.

Liverpool are expected to continue negotiations, although Minteh is not their only option. The club’s recruitment team reportedly has several other wingers on its shortlist as they look to reshape the squad.
