‘Verbal agreement reached’ – Bradley Barcola’s Liverpool transfer takes major step forward after breaking news

Liverpool’s pursuit of Bradley Barcola could be moving closer to a breakthrough after PSG reportedly reached a verbal agreement to sign Ajax winger Mika Godts in a deal worth around €55 million (£46.9m).

Fabrizio Romano confirmed that PSG and Ajax have agreed the package in principle, although the official documents are yet to be exchanged.

With PSG also closing in on a deal for Barcelona’s Ferran Torres, the French champions appear to be strengthening their attacking options — potentially paving the way for Barcola to leave the club.

Liverpool have reportedly remained in regular contact with PSG throughout the week and could now be in a stronger position to negotiate for the French winger.

PSG are believed to value Barcola at around £145m, while Liverpool’s internal valuation is closer to £100m. A compromise between the two figures could therefore be crucial to getting a deal over the line.

The arrival of Godts and Torres could also encourage PSG to take a more flexible approach regarding Barcola’s future.

For Liverpool, the timing is becoming increasingly important, with the Premier League season approaching and a trip to Newcastle United scheduled for August 23.

If PSG complete their deals for Godts and Torres, Liverpool fans could soon receive the breakthrough they have been waiting for in the club’s pursuit of Barcola. 🔴👀
