BREAKING: Arsenal open talks to sign Jarell Quansah as Liverpool rule out £70m move for defender.

Arsenal Open Talks for Jarell Quansah as Liverpool Rule Out £70m Return

Arsenal have reportedly begun discussions with Bayer Leverkusen over a possible move for former Liverpool defender Jarell Quansah.

The 23-year-old centre-back showed plenty of potential at Liverpool but struggled to secure a regular starting position before moving to Leverkusen last summer. He has since impressed in the Bundesliga and earned a place in England’s World Cup squad.

Sky Sports reports that Arsenal are now exploring a deal for Quansah as they look to strengthen their defence. The Gunners are also considering Aston Villa defender Ezri Konsa, while an approach for Atletico Madrid’s Marc Pubill has already failed.

Liverpool, meanwhile, have reportedly decided against using their buy-back option to bring Quansah back to Anfield. His £70 million clause is believed to be a major factor in their decision.

Despite Liverpool’s defensive concerns following Ibrahima Konate’s departure, the club have apparently chosen not to prioritise a move for Quansah.

That could leave Arsenal in pole position to bring the former Liverpool academy player back to the Premier League.

However, the talks are still at an early stage, with the potential transfer fee and the exact terms of any deal yet to be established. It also remains unclear whether Liverpool have a sell-on clause that could allow them to benefit financially if Quansah moves to Arsenal.
