Ronald Araujo’s representative has addressed speculation surrounding the defender’s long-term future at Liverpool, insisting that it is still too early to make any decisions about what happens after his loan spell.
The Uruguayan centre-back is currently on loan at Anfield from Barcelona and has impressed with his performances since arriving.
Speaking to Winwin, his agent, Eduardo Crangar, expressed satisfaction with the player’s progress but refused to offer any guarantees about a permanent move.
He said: “Ronald is performing well, we are very happy with what he is offering, but it is still too early to talk about his future at the moment.”
Crangar also revealed that Araujo is enjoying life at Liverpool and appreciates the opportunity to contribute to the team.
He added that the defender feels comfortable at the club and is happy to help his teammates achieve their objectives.
Liverpool Have a €55m Option to Sign Araujo
Liverpool have the option to make Araujo’s move permanent next summer for a reported €55 million (approximately £47 million).
However, the clause is not compulsory, meaning the Reds can decide whether to activate it or attempt to negotiate a lower transfer fee with Barcelona.
Araujo has demonstrated his versatility and quality during his time at Anfield, making him an attractive long-term option for Andoni Iraola’s squad.
Whether Liverpool will commit to signing him permanently remains uncertain, but his impressive performances have strengthened the argument for keeping him beyond the current season.
