Spurs Fans Turn on Mohammed Kudus After Disappointing Liverpool Defeat
Tottenham Hotspur fans have heavily criticised Mohammed Kudus following his poor display in their 3-1 Carabao Cup defeat to Liverpool.
Liverpool took control in the 21st minute when Alexis Mac Allister produced another brilliant strike, before Cody Gakpo doubled the advantage early in the second half with a composed finish.
Conor Gallagher briefly gave Spurs hope by pulling one back in the 69th minute, but Dominik Szoboszlai ended the contest with a stunning long-range effort in stoppage time.
The result extended Tottenham’s miserable start to the season, with Roberto De Zerbi’s side still searching for their first victory.
Kudus, who joined Spurs from West Ham for around £55 million in 2025, struggled to make an impact at Anfield. The Ghanaian winger managed just one successful cross from four attempts, missed a major opportunity and completed only one of his four dribble attempts.
De Zerbi eventually replaced him in the 75th minute, with Savio coming on as Spurs searched for a way back into the match.
Tottenham supporters were clearly frustrated with Kudus’ performance, with several questioning his effort and form.
One fan described him as “insanely lazy,” while another labelled his display “disgraceful.” Others questioned whether the injury problems that affected him last season are still having an impact.
Kudus arrived in North London with huge expectations after impressing at West Ham, but his performances have yet to consistently reach the level Spurs supporters anticipated.
With Savio now competing for a starting spot, Kudus will need to rediscover his best form quickly if he is to remain a regular in De Zerbi’s plans.
